Personal Information Collection Statement

The Department of Justice ("Department") of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region collects information for purposes of registration for the relevant event(s) under the Mediation Week 2026 and Global Mediation Summit; compilation of relevant statistics for planning of future event(s) to be organized by the Department; facilitating communications in relation to your registration; and verification of attendance for professional records/Continuous Professional Development requirements ("CPD") (if applicable); and any other purposes directly related to the aforesaid.

Unless otherwise specified, the information provided by you to the Department will be used for the aforesaid purposes. Please note that it is mandatory for you to provide personal data marked with asterisks. In the event that you do not provide such personal data, the Department may not be able to process your registration of the relevant event(s) under the Mediation Week 2026 and Global Mediation Summit.

You can also, on an entirely voluntary basis, indicate your wish to be included in the e-mailing list of the Department in order to receive information on the Department's future promotional events.

The information including personal data provided by you may be disclosed to an outside independent contractor engaged by the Government to manage the website of the Mediation Week 2026 and Global Mediation Summit and to assist in the registration for the relevant event(s) under the Mediation Week 2026 and Global Mediation Summit. If applicable, the information including personal data provided by you may be disclosed to other relevant bodies or persons for the purpose of verification of CPD requirements.

You have a right to request access to and correction of personal data as provided for in Section 18 and 22 and Principle 6 in Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. A fee may be charged to cover the costs of photocopying personal data supplied in response to a data access request. Request for data access and/or correction pursuant to the Ordinance should be sent to info@mediationweek2026.hk.
